Ethnocentrism is the Epidemic of the Christendom!

The Letter to Galatians By - Paul the Apostle

This Letter helps us to better understand the topic, but before that let's know few important details of this letter- which is probably to be the first letter comes around 49-50 Ad (argued in both senses).

however, some people may get surprised to know that the four gospels (Matt, Mk, Lk & Jhn) are written much later  55 Ad on-wards; not to make it complicated but to be aware that we don't know who has written these gospels, YES I too was surprised when two of my New Testament professors said that "all the gospels are written by anonymous" but by tradition, they are given the titles like the gospel according to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. one professor says "they are written by God's people, not Matthew, Mark, and Luke."

lets, come back I know its a bit hard for people who are reading for the first time. this letter is written to a minimum of four churches in the province of Galatia - we get to know on reading Acts 13-14 chapters where Paul had visited and pioneered these churches; Acts 13:14..v Pisidia, Iconium, 14:8V Lystra and 14:19-23 Derbe. 

so, remember Paul received his calling and revelation by our Lord Christ Jesus as an instrument for God among gentiles now gentiles are coming into the church. Right after he had completed his first missionary journey i.e Ad 47-49 this letter has been penned that's how we come to an understanding is most probably the first letter (again dates are highly debated).

during this time Paul gets to know that there is a lot of disturbance and confusion happening in those churches he pioneered that's why Paul opens this letter in a different way when we compared to other of his letters without introduction, thanksgiving more like defending and arguments we can feel the intensity especially when we read Gal 1:1-6 (seems to be an aggressive attack) in my opinion this is a foundation in all Paul's letters and I like the most along with another letter of Paul known as the pillar of Christianity (Romans). I look forward to writing diligently from the letter to the Romans.

The whole drama happening in these churches is that some people are creating confusion, divisions, and making disturbances that had became the major problem of disunity.

you know who is making these problem makers - its the Jewish people who have come along with the gentiles into the church who are now Christians, I should tell that "self-righteousness is been overflowing from the pride hearts of Jews who know Christians" calming themselves as the people of God, having food laws and circumcision putting gentiles into confusion that to experience the full blessings of God, to be fully matured in spiritual activities and to be accepted fully by God one must become a Jew first and then a Christian. (read Gal 3:28- the crux of this letter)

The insecurity of Jews in the church that they are neglected, not gaining attention and not given special importance and other wrong motives have given birth to this chaos. Paul could not bear this he was aggressive and defending. there are many things to be discussed from this letter (Justification by faith in Jesus) and observations of law are not what gives you salvation.

but for toady's world you may not say I am a Jew, Moses is our father, we have a sabbath, Circumcised but we tend to be worse than the people throwing confusions by the movement to feel proud to say I am from Assemblies of God, I am a Pastor's Kid (Pk), I am a missionary Kid (Mk) I am Baptist, Pentecostal......

God forbid those who hangup only with their class/caste/profession..... inside the church I am talking to you (hello Christians).

remember everyone is a sinner- no more, no less 

we all are justified by faith in Jesus not by our degrees, caste, work ( leave your cheap principles)

 if Paul lived in this age he might have requested Romans soldiers who had seen and know him to preach the gospel to the present Ethnocentric  Christendom!

where a particular group of people like in India (caste) in other countries (color) attend to those particular church, and people stopped calling those church's by its name but started with that caste or color. (painful)

 if you see or feel you are in the edge of the table falling off from the kingdom family - why can't you seek the grace and mercy of God to be His Son/daughter. He never stops showing His love on us and His forgiveness gifts us the acceptance of fresh anointing.

Ethnocentrism is the epidemic of the Christendom! more dangerous than the Corona Virus!
